On Friday, February 11th, Cruzio and Ecology Action got together to celebrate the opening of our newly renovated building at 877 Cedar Street.
Cruzio will be holding another celebration — open to the public, yes, you are invited — when we light up the gigabit fiber we’ve brought into downtown Santa Cruz. The date isn’t set yet, but we expect it in late March. But here are some pics from the first one:
We shook hands all around
Chamber of Commerce CEO Bill Tysseling looks as if he might cut Chris Neklason’s head off with giant scissors. Luckily they are prop scissors, and not very sharp at all.
Crowd shots…
Cruzio staff looking at crowds out our windows (notice we still don’t have shades and are blocking glare with backwards whiteboards)
Westi Haughey is really cracking up here
But she recovers quickly
Cruzioworks coworker Meadhbh Hamrick with Works designer and coworking coordinator Krissie Olson
Matthew Swinnerton, Chris Frost
Cynthia Matthews, all around excellent person
John Laird, our hero in Sacramento — Cruzio had him in an online forum as a City Council candidate in what, 1989? Early days, in any case. Pre world-wide Web.
