The networking equipment that provides customers in the Santa Cruz County area with Wireless and Certified access services has lost power due to PG&E rolling power outages.
We have field technicians ready to cycle power between battery redundancies throughout the day, however there will be customer impacting downtime during these events. We will update this network status message with new information as we receive it.
This will not affect customers with DSL and Velocity access services.
Affected areas:
Chaminade – This site should remain up with minimal interruptions as we switch between redundant power sources.
Nantomics – We are currently working on a solution to determine the best path forward.
Kirby School – This site should remain up with minimal interruptions as we switch between redundant power sources.
Midtown Santa Cruz and Live Oak: This site should remain up with minimal interruptions as we switch between redundant power sources.
Harvey West: This site should remain up with minimal interruptions as we switch between redundant power sources.

We are performing emergency maintenance to swap equipment that serves customers in the Pacific Ave section of the Downtown Santa Cruz area. We expect customer downtime to be less than 5 minutes.
The networking equipment that provides customers in the Harvey West and lower Graham Hill road areas with Wireless and Certified access services has lost power due to PG&E rolling power outages.
We expect to restore service to these customers by 10AM Thursday 10/10, or sooner depending on PG&E restoring power.
This will not affect customers with DSL and Velocity access services.
The networking equipment that provides customers in midtown Santa Cruz and Live Oak areas with Wireless and Certified access services has lost power due to PG&E rolling power outages.
We have field technicians ready to cycle power between battery redundancies through the morning, however there will be customer impacting downtime during these events. We expect this period to be between 12:30AM onward throughout the morning on Thursday 10/10, dependent on PG&E restoring power.
This will not affect customers with DSL and Velocity access services.
The network maintenance is now complete. The total downtime was approximately 5 minutes. If you are unable to connect, we recommend power cycling your equipment.
We will be performing scheduled maintenance to upgrade networking equipment that serves Fiber customers in the Downtown Santa Cruz area. This will affect Fiber customers only. We have scheduled an hour window for maintenance, though expect actual downtime to be under 20 minutes.
Cruzio is closely monitoring our wireless network and internal systems and prioritizing response plans if the planned PG&E service outage continues beyond the scope of any back-up power systems. To ensure up-time for Cruzio services, we have mobilized all internal resources to respond to events when applicable.

Customers with Wireless Pro, Dedicated, and Enterprise Access service in the Downtown Santa Cruz area are currently experiencing a service outage.
We are working on a fix for the issue and we will post updates as they develop.
This only affects customers with Wireless fed services that are in the Downtown Santa Cruz area; Velocity, DSL and Dialup services are not affected.
