How to update Outlook for Windows to use the new Cruzio email settings

Step-by-step instructions on how to change your email settings for Cruzio’s 2018 email upgrade. Use for all email addresses ending in @cruzio.com, @baymoon.com, @rattlebrain.com, @calcentralcom, @scshop.com, @elgatito.com, @ebold.com, @skyhighway.com, @cruziolatino.com and @icogitate.com. If you own your own custom domain name, you don’t have to make changes at this time.

Step 1 – Launch Outlook from your desktop icon or start menu.

Step 2 – In the top-left corner of the Outlook window, left click the “File” Menu. This will bring up a new window with “Account Information” along the top.

Step 3 – In the right pane of the “Account Information” window, left click “Account Settings” and choose “Account Settings…”. This will open a new window labeled, “Account Settings”.

Step 4 – In the bottom section of the “Account Settings” window, left click the email address you need to update. Just above the bottom pane, left click “Change…” This will open a new window labeled “Change Account”.

Step 5 – In the “Change Account” window, under “Server Information”, you will find the “Outgoing mail server (SMTP):” box. In this box, type in the server name assigned to your email address from the table below.

Step 6 – In the “Change Account” window, under “Logon Information”, type your full email address into the “User Name:” box (for example, johndoe@cruzio.com or janedoe@baymoon.com).

Step 7 – In the bottom right corner of the “Change Account” window, left click “More Settings … “. This will open a new window labeled “Internet Email Settings”.

Step 8 – One of the tabs across the top of this new window is labeled “Outgoing Server” tab, left click it.

Step 9 – On the “Outgoing Server” tab, check the box for “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication”

Step 10 – Choose “Log on using”.

Step 11 – In the “User Name:” box, type in your full email address (for example, johndoe@cruzio.com or janedoe@baymoon.com).

Step 12 – In the “Password:” box, type in your password.

Step 13 – Check the “Remember password” box.

Step 14 – One of the tabs across the top of this new window is labeled “Advanced”, left click it.

Step 15 – You will find two places on this page that say, “Use the following type of encrypted connection:”, Choose “None” on both of these.

Step 16 – Next to “Outgoing server (SMTP):” type in 587.

Step 17 – On the bottom of the “Outgoing Server” window, left click “OK”, this will close this window, and take you back to the “Change Account” window.

Step 18 – On the bottom of the “Change Account” window, left click “Next >”, this will open a new window labeled “Test Account Settings”,which will verify your Account Settings.

Step 19 – This should complete with two green check marks. Left click “Close”. (If no green check marks appear, please go over the above steps to make sure they’ve been completed.)

Step 20 – Your screen should now show, “You’re all set!”. Left click the “Finish” button at the bottom.

Step 21 – Close the “Account Settings” window by clicking “Close” in the bottom right corner.

Step 22 – Test sending and receiving — sending yourself an email message is a good way to do this.

Step 23 – You have successfully completed the email changes.
