Set Your Home Page to Cruzio

Every time you open your Web browser, you can be in touch with your email and the local news. Follow the instructions for your browser.

Safari for Mac OS X

  1. Open the Safari web browser (the compass icon in your Dock or Applications folder).
  2. In the address bar, type cruzio.com and then press the Return or Enter key.
  3. In the menu, choose Safari -> Preferences. Click the General icon (the icon of a switch).
  4. Make sure that “New windows open with” is set to “Home Page.”
  5. Click the button that says “Set to Current Page.” Close the Preferences window.
  6. To verify your new home page settings, close the Safari window. Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet.

    Open a new Safari window and verify that you’ve been automatically taken to http://www.cruzio.com.

    Congratulations! Cruzio is now your home page.

Firefox for Mac OS X

  1. Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet. Open Firefox (the fox icon in your Dock or Applications folder).
  2. In the address bar, type cruzio.com and then press the Return or Enter key on your keyboard.
  3. To the left of the web address, find the tiny Cruzio kitty icon. Drag it to the Home toolbar button. When asked “Do you want this document to be your new home page?” click Yes.
  4. To verify your new home page settings, close the Firefox window.

    Open a new Firefox window and verify that you’ve been automatically taken to http://www.cruzio.com.

    Congratulations! Cruzio is now your home page.

Internet Explorer for Mac OS 9

  1. Open Internet Explorer (the blue ‘e’ icon on your Desktop or in your Applications folder).
  2. In the menu, choose Edit -> Preferences.
  3. On the left, make sure that the Web Browser heading is expanded (the triangle should point down). Click Browser Display.

    On the right, in the Home Page section, type http://www.cruzio.com and then select the checkbox that says “Automatically go to this Home Page when opening a new window.” Click OK.

  4. To verify your new home page settings, close the web browser window. Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet.

    Open a new browser window and verify that you’ve been automatically taken to http://www.cruzio.com.

    Congratulations! Cruzio is now your home page.

Firefox for Windows Vista or XP

Firefox is a free web browser that is more secure than Internet Explorer. You may download it from firefox.com or purchase it on CD from Cruzio.

  1. Open Firefox (the fox icon on your desktop or in Start -> All Programs).
  2. In the menu, choose Tools -> Options. Click the Main icon (the icon of a switch).
  3. Make sure that “When Firefox starts” is set to “Show my home page.”In the Home Page box, type http://www.cruzio.com and then click OK.
  4. To verify your new home page settings, close the Firefox window. Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet.

    Open a new Firefox window and verify that you’ve been automatically taken to http://www.cruzio.com.

    Congratulations! Cruzio is now your home page.

Internet Explorer for Windows Vista or XP

  1. Open Internet Explorer (the blue ‘e’ icon on your desktop or in Start -> All Programs).
  2. Click Tools (in Internet Explorer 6, it’s in the menu; in Internet Explorer 7, it’s in the toolbar) and choose Internet Options. Click the General tab.
  3. In the Home page box, type http://www.cruzio.com and then click Apply. Click OK.
  4. To verify your new home page settings, close the Internet Explorer window. Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet.

    Open a new Internet Explorer window and verify that you’ve been automatically taken to http://www.cruzio.com.
