1) $200 cash rebate on Cruzio DSL until May 4, 2000
If you were thinking of getting DSL to your home or business, but were
put off by the setup fee, you will like this offer. Cruzio negotiated
a great deal with Pacific Bell and we are passing the savings along
to you with a new rebate program. If you sign up for Cruzio DSL before
May 4, 2000, you can receive a $200 cash rebate.

If you choose to buy a router with your DSL connection, you will still
receive the $200 rebate. Frankly, that beats all other router offers
we can find.

There are some conditions in order to get the rebate: most
significantly, the customer is required to sign up for a 1-year
commitment and must pay by automatic credit card debit. The timing
and other details of the rebate depend on processing by Pacific
Bell.

Please see http://www.cruzio.com/support/dslspecial.html for more
details, or call us at 459-6301.

2) DSL service improvements
Cruzio's DSL service has proved quite popular. We're now moving all our
DSL services to fiber to ensure a high quality of service. Customers
currently using DSL will be contacted soon about the improvements. For
most current DSL customers, the change will involve turning computer and
modem (or router) off and then on again, after which you'll notice a marked
improvement in service. DSL customers using routers should check
	www.cruzio.com/support/router.html
as some routers will require an additional step.

3) Open an online store (specials till March 31st!)
If you are a local merchant, now you can compete with national on-line
stores such as amazon.com and bluefly.com. By using ShopSite, Cruzio's
new e-commerce solution, a small business can set up a usable Web store
in minutes.

Until March 31, 2000, Cruzio is running a special. Any Internet Office
account can run a small store free of charge for 3 months. More advanced
stores with unlimited items start at $250 license fee, $25 per month. Please
check other sources: Cruzio's prices are about half list price and monthly
fees even less. After the special ends, our prices will still be very
affordable.

For more information, and a feature list, please go to:
	http://www.cruzio.com/support/shopsite/
or e-mail:
	shopsite@cruzio.com

(Learn about how to install and maintain online stores at a Cruzio
Brown Bag workshop, or take a class to learn even more. Both are
scheduled in the coming months; see other items in this newsletter.)

4) How do people find your Web site?
If you are an Internet Office customer, please go to your admin page
(the web address is in the form www.yourdomain.com/admin) and have a look
at our newest Web feature: referrer logs. These logs tell you what link
a viewer used to find your Web page. If the viewer found you through a
search engine, it will list the engine and what key words led to your
page. Very, very useful and interesting.

6) Upcoming classes, including Web design Part II
Spring, and a wise person's fancy turns to HTML. Cruzio will be offering
our popular classes in Web design, including Part II of the "Publishing
on the Web" series, which comes around only every few months. Plus, we've
got classes for those new to the Internet or wanting to get more familiar
with its underlying concepts.

In April, Cruzio is offering:

Wednesdays, 6:30-9pm: "Publishing on the Internet I", Terrific
instructors John, and Kathy guide students through
the process of creating Web sites for their family, hobbies
or businesses. Our most popular series.

Thursdays, 6:30-9pm: "Publishing on the Internet II", A
continuation of the first "Publishing" series, where
the dashing Mark and John present more sophisticated
and effective methods of creating web pages.

Coming up in May:
Tuesdays, 6:30-9pm: "Using the Internet", packed with tips and
tricks for wiser Internet usage. Taught by the effervescent
		Kathy.

	Wednesdays, same as April.

Coming up in June:
Tuesdays and Wednesdays, same as May.

Thursdays, 6:30-9pm: "E-commerce", Three of our top-rated instructors

Every student creates a working shopping cart before
the end of the series. Taught by Mark, Kathy, and John.

7) Invisible College a total blast
We enjoy pondering Homer, Plato, and other notable Greeks on Monday
nights. It's geeky in an old-fashioned way. The next class will be
Math Musings I: Chaos and Divination, taught by the esteemed (and
fun!) Ralph Abraham. No previous math experience required! Ralph is a
breakthrough math educator who travels from the big picture downward.
It will be held on Monday evenings, 7:30 to 9 pm. For more information,
see:

8) Cruzio wins Goldies again -- Thanks!

glad. Thank you.

If you've upgraded your computer and no longer need your Internet Starter
Kit for the Mac, Cruzio will pay $10 for a complete set (book and disks)
of The Internet Starter Kit for Macintosh by Adam Engst, Third Edition,
with floppies, in usable condition.

10) About This Newsletter
Cruzio doesn't like to waste bandwidth with extra email, but we sometimes
have events and announcements that users need to know about. This seems
like the most efficient way to let people know what's happening. Hope
it's helpful. Please email support@cruzio.com with any comments or questions.
By the way, we would love to have a regular, predictable schedule
for this newsletter...but we simply do not send it unless there is real
news enclosed. Thus the haphazard datelines.
