Our upstream fiber provider has informed us that the they have found the location of the fiber break and have crews on site working to restore service.
There is currently no ETA for repair, although we will update this status as new information becomes available.
Cruzio engineers are currently looking into an issue with our primary fiber connection for customers with Enterprise and Business Broadband services in the Santa Cruz area. This is most likely due to a fiber cut.
Customers are currently on our backup connection, and will see slower than normal speeds and/or sporadic packet loss until this is resolved. We will update this as soon as we can.
This will affect customers with Colocation, Enterprise, Business Broadband, Dedicated Business Broadband and Cruzioworks services. Velocity, DSL, and dial-up customers are not affected.
At about 1:40pm this afternoon 2/21/17, PG&E restored power to the Harvey West area, and all of our Business Broadband gear in that area is now powered up and functioning normally. We thank your for your patience.
Wireless engineers have resolved the issue as of around 11:00am this morning, and full connectivity to our customers in the East San Jose Area has been restored. We appreciate your patience.
At 10pm this evening, the generator that is powering Cruzio’s internet gear in the Weston Road area will be shut off to conserve fuel. It will be turned back on at 6am tomorrow morning. This will continue until power has been restored to the site where the generator is located. This only affects Business Broadband customers in the Weston Road area. We appreciate your patience.
There is currently a confirmed power outage in the Harvey West area of Santa Cruz which is effecting internet access for some Business Broadband customers. Power is estimated to be restored by PG&E with the next few hours. We appreciate your patience.
There is currently an outage at one of our wireless sites in the East San Jose/Oakland Road area. This outage only affects Cruzio customers in this area. Engineers are investigating the cause of the outage. This status will be added to as we receive updates. Thank you for your patience.
The issues with webhosting service Host7 have been resolved. Queued mail is being delivered, and all should be functioning normally. We appreciate your patience.

Around 9:05pm the power was restored to the downtown distribution buildings in question. All business broadband customers should be up and running back to normal within a few minutes.
