2015-11-22 @ 9AM – slow speeds due to fiber outage [RESOLVED]
Fiber crews have located and repaired the break in the fiber as of this morning of Sunday, 11/22
All service should be restored to normal expected speeds.
11-22-2015 @ 8:15am Radio Issues For 2030 N. Pacific
Cruzio technicians discovered an issue with the radio that feeds our equipment at 2030 n. pacific. We are actively working on a solution now.
This will only affect customers in the 2030 n. pacific building in downtown Santa Cruz, we apologize for any inconvenience.
Cruzio network engineers have identified a problem with our upstream connection out to the internet, due to a cut/break in our fiber. Customers are currently on our backup wireless connection.
If you are currently experiencing much slower than expected download speeds, it is most likely a current issue with Cruzio’s connection to the internet and not a localized problem with your own radio or equipment.
We hope to have this fixed as soon as possible.
Customers that are affected:
– Enterprise and Business Broadband wireless and in-building customers in the Santa Cruz, Seabright, Live Oak, Scotts Valley, Capitola, Aptos, and Watsonville areas
– Colocation customers at 877 Cedar
– Cruzioworks coworking and office customers at 877 Cedar
Customers that will not be affected:
– Enterprise and Business Broadband wireless customers in the San Jose / South Bay areas
– All Velocity customers
– All DSL customers
– All dial-up customers
