Due to a PG&E outage, some Wireless Pro customers are experiencing an outage in the Watsonville area. Cruzio engineers are en-route to deploy backup power solutions to the affected infrastructure equipment.
1/4/2023 6:00PM – Service interruptions due to weather event
Some customers on the Cruzio Network may experience intermittent downtime during the weather event impacting the Central Coast. Redundant power systems are in place for key infrastructure sites, and Cruzio engineers will work to mitigate any issues impacting the network during this weather event. We will update our network status message as more information becomes available.
1/2/2023 10:30am – Watsonville area outage [ UPDATE ]
A fiber break in the Watsonville area may cause routing issues and inability to get to some websites for some customers, including cruzio.com. Our backbone provider has crews working on repairing the fiber. We will update this status message once an ETA for completion of repairs is available.
1/1/2023 4:45pm – Watsonville area outage [ UPDATE ]
Cruzio engineers are working with our fiber provider to resolve a fiber break between Santa Cruz and Watsonville. Cruzio engineers have routed traffic around the fiber break and all services should be restored and operational at this time. If you continue to experience connectivity issues please escalate and we will investigate.

We have determined that no customers should be affected by this outage due to network redundancy. Apologies for the false alarm. We wanted to get a notice up as soon as possible in case anyone was affected.

We are currently experiencing a network outage in the Watsonville area. Technicians are currently investigating and updates will be posted as they come in.
1/1/2023 – 2:00AM – PG&E outage affecting Dedicated // Enterprise services & some Watsonville Equal Access customers
As of approximately 12:30PM today, we have lost PG&E utility power at our Loma Prieta broadcasting site & are currently running on battery power. We attempted to roll technicians out with generators, but unfortunately we are unable to access our equipment due to landslides and downed trees. We expect our equipment to go down at around 2:00AM once our batteries run out, and stay down until either utility power is restored or the roads are clear for us to access the site with a generator.
12/31/2022 – 1:15PM – PG&E outage affecting downtown Santa Cruz & Ocean street
Cruzio has become aware of a large power outage primarily affecting our in-building services in several locations. PG&E has not yet provided an Estimated Time of Recovery. We will post any other relevant information as it becomes available.
12/31/2022 – 11:30AM – PG&E outage affecting Wireless Pro service in La Honda and San Gregorio areas
Due to widespread utility outages some portions of our network are currently running on battery backup power and may go offline once the battery power is depleted. Cruzio engineers are assessing the situation but believe some sites may not be reachable at this time due to road closures and safety concerns. Service disruptions are likely later today in the La Honda and San Gregorio areas. We will continue to monitor the situation, avoid disruptions when possible and otherwise restore service as quickly as it is safe to do so.
12/30/2022 – 11:15PM – [RESOLVED] PG&E outage affecting downtown Santa Cruz & Ocean street
As of approximately 11:15PM, PG&E has restored utility power to all Cruzio sites. If you are still experiencing connectivity issues, try restarting your equipment.
