1. Webmaster classes starting -Next Week-
Cruzio's most advanced, "Webmaster", series starts up again in November.
Many people have asked about it. Please don't miss this opportunity if
you've been waiting. Topics covered include: Using Effective Graphics,
JavaScript, Client Side Imagemaps and Animated GIFs, and Advanced CGI.
These skills really put a web page designer above the rest.

And other classes are going great guns. We've added a serious "hands-on"
portion to the "Using the Internet" (beginner) series and our "Publishing
on the Web" series has taught hundreds of people how to set up a web
site for their business, hobby, or what have you. For classes info, please
check out http://www.cruzio.com/classes and call if you'd like to sign
up or have any questions.

2. Your free web site listing
If your web page is on Cruzio, take advantage of the free publicity our
home page gives you! http://www.cruzio.com is very, very popular, getting
over 4,000 hits a day. Our business index is clicked on several hundred
times a day. Make sure that
	- your listing appears in our directory
		and
	- your listing says something meaningful about your page
To see your index listing, go to http://www.cruzio.com and click on Member
Professional Pages (for Internet Office and other commercial accounts) or
Member Personal Pages (for free web space.). Look down the list to find
your site. You might ask yourself, would I visit that site?

If you want to change your listing, you can do so via your admin page.
To get there, point your web browser at
	http://gate.cruzio.com/support/checkacct.html
and go from there to the type of web page you have -- Internet Office,
commercial, or personal. You'll be asked for a login and password, after
which you can customize your listing. Obviously, you can do this any time
you like -- one of the advantages of using the World Wide Web.

3. Check your email via Cruzio's website
If you are traveling, visiting a friend, or renting one of our downtown
computers and want to check your email, you will find this new feature
handy. Now you can use anyone's Internet connection to check your Cruzio
email. It's free and it's easy. If you've been using a Hotmail or Juno
account, you can use this method instead -- it's far less likely to
be crowded. Here's how:

If your address looks like "myname@cruzio.com, simply point the
web browser on any Internet-connected computer to
		http://mail.cruzio.com/cgi-bin/getmail.cgi
and type in your email login and password to get your mail.

Or, if you have a custom domain on Cruzio, your address looks like
"postmaster@mydomain.com". Point the web browser to
		http://www.mydomain.com/admin/getmail.cgi
(be sure to substitute your domain for "mydomain" in the above address).
and type your email login and password in the boxes.

4. Internet Office(tm) accounts can do mailing lists and more.
Many new features have been added to Cruzio's Internet Office accounts.
For example, mailing lists are easy to use and a handy tool for
communication.

We have so many new features in the Internet Office that we are having
an Open House to discuss them. The first Internet Office Presentation
will be on Monday, November 30th at 6:30 pm. We'll be serving snacks and
handing out free t-shirts. Representatives from Technical Support and
Engineering will be there. This presentation will explain how your
business can put to work the many terrific new Internet Office features.
Enrollment is limited; the first 25 people who sign up by sending email
to feedback@cruzio.com get an invitation. If there's enough demand, we'll
hold another one soon.

You can get more information about Internet Office accounts by pointing
your browser at
		http://www.cruzio.com/support/web/io.html

5. Questions on business services? Business/large account discounts?
Just a note that if you've got a business and would like to know
about how to use the Internet for your business, or if you're interested
in discounts for business or other large accounts, please contact
Kathy in our office or send email to office@cruzio.com.

6. Cruzio now selling: .......2-channel ISDN......
ISDN is fast at 64k. Now you can double the speed. Cruzio is now offering
Dual-channel ISDN for people who want even faster Net access. It's about
$114.00 per quarter (that's $38 per month), slightly more or less depending on
your account type. Single channel ISDN is still a bargain, no additional
cost over our regular access accounts: $57 per quarter ($19/month.)

A digital line must be installed by the phone company, which has separate
charges. ISDN is a great option for users who transfer a lot of data:
telecommuters, web designers, addicted gamers.

7. What do you use Cruzio for?
Cruzio has been doing great business this year. We're grateful and
curious: we're interested in what our customers are using, profiting
from, or otherwise enjoying on our service. If you like us (and, okay,
even if you don't) let us know. Send email to feedback@cruzio.com and tell
us what you've been doing. Facts and figures welcome.

8. View your bills online
This is a new option that can be handy when you've lost your Cruzio bill but
know you need to pay. If you go to your admin page (remember, to do this
you go to http://gate.cruzio.com/support/checkacct.html, choose your
account type and fill in your account info.) you'll see the option there.

9. Adding Maps to Your Web Page
Cruzio has just rolled out our new, improved, Phase II mapserver. We
encourage you to use the mapserver to generate maps for YOUR web pages.

Simply go to the Cruzio web page at http://www.cruzio.com and select
the Maps link. You can use the mapserver to display a map of your address.
When the map is on the screen, use your browser to download and save the
map image. Once the image is saved on your computer, you can upload it to
your web site and use it in your pages just like any other image.

Refer to the mapserver online help for more tips on including maps in
your web pages.

10. T-shirt price now $7
Our t-shirt cost went up. Since we're selling the T-shirts to our
customers at cost, the price for all of you has gone up -- to $7
per t-shirt. We're sorry the price went up; we'd rather be paying
less, too. Still not a bad price, and you get to wear a little bit of
Internetrivia.

11. Geekspeak Radio
Tune your FM radio to KUSP 88.9 every Monday night at 6:30 to hear Cruzio
founder Chris Neklason and Tech Support Wizard Mark Hanford and Steve
Shaffer from Guenther Computer discussing the news and views of the world
of computers and the Internet.

Upcoming shows will include a special 2 week series on new Mac developments,
followed by a very special 2 part series on computer animation featuring
guests from Pacific Data Images, the team that produced the new animated
feature length film, 'Antz'.

Listen to the shows and visit the Geekspeak web site at:
        http://www.geekspeak.org

12. Cruzio front office closed Thanksgiving Day
The subject line says it all. We'll be closed on Thursday, November 26,
but will be monitoring the computers behind the scenes as always.
Happy Thanksgiving!

13. About This Newsletter
Cruzio doesn't like to waste bandwidth with extra email, but
we sometimes have events and announcements that users need
to know about. This seems like the most efficient way to let
people know what's happening. Hope it's helpful. Please email
support@cruzio.com with any comments or questions.
