At Cruzio’s new building, 877 Cedar Street, we now have electrical charging stations thanks to our neighbor Ecology Action. Now there is a place to charge your electric vehicle, right in downtown Santa Cruz.

What a wet and wild week it’s been. Yesterday’s storms did tremendous damage throughout the county, taking out roads and trees and, for a short period, Cruzio’s email, phone and web servers. With limited power supply, we focused our energies on our customers’ services over our own internal systems and communication tools. Now those services are restored, we wanted to check in and let you know what happened here, and what we’re doing about it.

Cruzioworks never looked so gorgeous as when the First Friday digital artists (from DANM) set up their pieces. Music hummed, lights flashed, wine and canapes were consumed… and best of all, we all experienced the place anew alive with art.

On Valentine’s Day 2011, Cruzio had a visit from two talented first graders, Garritt and Zak, from Gateway School.

On Friday, February 11th, Cruzio and Ecology Action got together to celebrate the opening of our newly renovated building at 877 Cedar Street.
Cruzio will be holding another celebration — open to the public, yes, you are invited — when we light up the gigabit fiber we’ve brought into downtown Santa Cruz. The date isn’t set yet, but we expect it in late March. But here are some pics from the first one:
Our exciting new Technology Services position is based around the following core set of duties:
Wireless On-site Telecomm:
-Research, design, test and deploy of wireless infrastructure in PtP and PtMP technologies
-Maintain existing and new wireless infrastructure
-respond to emergency wireless infrastructure outages as prescribed by SLA’s and Cruzio’s standard network response policies
-Handle inside wiring and interface with telephone network wiring
