As part of the extended PG&E power outage, Cruzio crews will need to temporarily power down one of our downtown distribution sites. This will effect wireless pro, dedicated, and enterprise customers in these areas. This work should begin within the next 30 minutes and should last for approximately 10-15 minutes.

Cruzio technicians restored power to one of our sites in the Live Oak area, bringing those wireless pro customers back online around 10:30am this morning. Crews will be continuing to swap backup power sources, but some downtime will occur. We appreciate your patience.

The generator issue affecting service to East San Jose customers has been resolved.
10/27/2019 4:00AM – PG&E related outage in East San Jose
Due to a PG&E related power outage, the generator powering our networking equipment that serves customers in the East San Jose area has failed as of 4AM. This is service impacting to some customers with Wireless, Certified, Dedicated, and Enterprise access services in that area. We will be investigating the generator and should have service restored later this morning.
10/26/2019 11:00PM – PG&E related outage in downtown Santa Cruz, Harvey West, Westside, Live Oak areas
Due to the PG&E outage starting at 10:45PM on Saturday, 10/26, the networking hardware that serves some customers in the downtown Santa Cruz, Harvey West, Westside, and Live Oak areas are currently on battery/UPSes. This affects customers with Fiber, Wireless, Certified, Dedicated, and Enterprise access services in those areas.
We will be triaging generators and battery swaps in the coming hours, but these affected customers should expect some service outages as we migrate gear to alternate power sources.
We currently do not have a time estimate from PG&E on restoration.

10/26/2019 1:45PM – Cruzio Response to the upcoming PG&E Power Outages [UPDATE]
PG&E has announced that electrical service will be shut off for most of Santa Cruz County starting at 5PM today for a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) event.
Cruzio Field Technicians and Support Staff will be monitoring and maintaining the networking equipment that provides internet services 24/7 during this PSPS event. We are standing by to refresh our backup power facilities to the extent possible. However, there may be some customer downtime during extended power events.
As long as we have power, Cruzio customers impacted by the outages can come by Cruzio’s Main Office at 877 Cedar st, Santa Cruz, during open hours (9AM to 6PM, Monday through Friday, and 10AM-2PM Saturday) to use the internet.
As always, we will update this network status message with new information as we receive it.
