Cruzio technicians have identified an issue with our Business Broadband equipment at our point of presence on the DeLa-911 tower. Only Business Broadband customers that are connected to our DeLa-911 access points may experience connection issues.
Velocity, DSL, and all other Business Broadband customers will be unaffected. We are actively working on a solution now. We apologize for the inconvenience.
All service has been restored for customers affected by today’s prolonged PG&E maintenance in Westside, Santa Cruz. This issue was caused by longer-than-expected power maintenance window at the building that houses the wireless networking equipment upstream to the affected customers. Our field crews had to install additional batteries and generators to keep customers up during this extended PG&E maintenance window.
This power maintenance is now over, and we do not expect any more downtime for these customers today or in the near future.
We thank you for your patience with this issue.
Our FieldOps technicians were able to provide power to the point of presence located at an upstream building. All service for 402 Ingalls and 1010 Fair should now be restored, and all systems are now up and fully operational. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
We have a technician on site, and are in the process of installing the new local battery. We are now estimating that service to 402 Ingalls and 1010 Fair will be restored by 1:30 pm. This status will be updated again once we can confirm everything is up and operational.
The services at 402 Ingalls and 1010 Fair are currently down, due to an upstream building’s power maintenance that unintentionally lasted longer than the local battery backup. We have FieldOps technicians en route to replace the battery. We are estimating the total downtime for customers at 402 Ingalls and/or 1010 Fair to be no longer than 60 minutes. We will update this status again once the services are up and running, or if the ETR changes. We apologize for any inconvenience.
As of 2:30pm, our upstream provider has reported that they have finished up their repairs to the affected hardware serving some of our Velocity customers, and phone service should now be restored.
As of 4/15/2016, our upstream provider is investigating a phone service issue affecting a small portion of our Velocity customers. We will update this message as more information becomes available.
