Welcome to the future of full-service office space at gigabit speed, where almost everything is taken care of for you. Located in the heart of downtown Santa Cruz in the Cruzio building, convenience and accessibility are just the start of why our tenants love being here.
We have the rare opportunity of a mid-size space coming available September 1st. 529 square feet and optionally furnished with beautiful Herman Miller desks. There is a coworking facility in a nearby part of the building, with a wonderful community of local professional people — great for conversations over coffee and networking. We were sad to see our last long-term tenants go and are looking for a minimum commitment of 24 months, with lower pricing options available depending on the length of the lease.
Some amenities included in the price:
- Gigabit (1000 Mbps) lightning fast internet, both wifi and wired, at no extra cost (the fastest internet in the county)
- Access to coworking facility, including on-site networking events and meet-ups
- Two break rooms
- Weekly light cleaning of your office
- Trash and recycling pick-up
- Utilities included
- Private entrance from building’s main hallway
- Recently renovated, beautifully appointed interiors
- Yearly building-wide Open House event sponsored by lessor
- Located in the heart of downtown, the technology hub of Santa Cruz
- 20 hours of meeting time included in a choice of 3 fully-equipped meeting rooms
- Onsite parking
- Excellent networking opportunities with over 30 local companies
- On site organic cafe
- Friendly staff on site

We work hard at Cruzioworks. Many small companies and individuals have their own goals but also help each other and find interesting ways to collaborate. We work all sorts of hours, use tremendous amounts of Internet and drink amazing amounts of caffeinated beverages.
And frequently, one of our coworking companies finishes a project. Elegant, useful, creative, marvelous: many products and projects have emerged from the Cruzioworks primordial soup.*
When you’ve met a deadline — finished a manuscript — put together an organization that’s ready to go — it’s a great feeling. A time for the whole community to celebrate.
So Cruzio invented the Launchies. That’s our answer to the Grammies, the Emmies, the Oscars. Every Cruzioworks coworker who launches a product, service or company just needs to let us know. They’ll be feted with champagne and treats, get publicity, and best of all receive the attractive “Launchie” award suitable for display.

877 Cedar Street
Free and open to the public
It’s like a good old-fashioned block party in the middle of a downtown, high-tech nerve center, complete with all of your neighbors, local art, delicious food and a celebratory atmosphere.
The Sentinel building used to be a long, uninterrupted wall of 10″ thick concrete down most of a block of Cedar Street. It had an element of Willy Wonka’s factory: what’s going on inside? You could see the newspaper’s presses through the far window, but other than that all was dark.
When Cruzio, Ecology Action and Joe Appenrodt renovated the building, we opened it up with windows and doors.
Cruzioworks hosted a New Tech Meetup session, attended by many of Santa Cruz’s geekiest citizens. The Meetup, headed by David Britton, always has interesting presentations and is a great way to meet other local technologists and see what’s going on in town. If you haven’t already, join at their website — it’s easy and free of charge.
Shane Pearlman and Hilary Bryant presented their group, the Santa Cruz City Technical Task Force. This committee consists of local technologists from a variety of backgrounds who volunteered to help the City find ways to streamline policies and procedures.
Cruzio hosted local dignitaries May 31st to help us celebrate the lighting of Cruzio’s new fiber Internet at our downtown headquarters. We were lucky enough to even have the day proclaimed “Fiber Internet Day” in the City of Santa Cruz.
Cruzio CEO, Peggy Dolgenos, talks about Cruzio’s fiber Internet plans
Do you know TED? TED is an internationally recognized conference with the theme “ideas worth spreading.” And now, TED is coming to Santa Cruz.
The main event is sold out, but Cruzio is proud to host a livestream of Santa Cruz’s own TEDx this Saturday, June 11 from 9am-5pm. Won’t you join us? Admission is free, but space is limited.

At Cruzio’s new building, 877 Cedar Street, we now have electrical charging stations thanks to our neighbor Ecology Action. Now there is a place to charge your electric vehicle, right in downtown Santa Cruz.
Don’t yet have an electric car? Have a look at this gorgeous Tesla:
On Friday, February 11th, Cruzio and Ecology Action got together to celebrate the opening of our newly renovated building at 877 Cedar Street.
Cruzio will be holding another celebration — open to the public, yes, you are invited — when we light up the gigabit fiber we’ve brought into downtown Santa Cruz. The date isn’t set yet, but we expect it in late March. But here are some pics from the first one:
